Clean, contained popcorn ceiling removal for Jupiter homes, from the Loxahatchee River and the Inlet to Jupiter Farms and Abacoa.
Jupiter homeowners call us for popcorn ceiling removal when the old texture starts to look tired, stained or out of step with a remodel. We are a ceilings-only company based in West Palm Beach. Our work covers texture removal, asbestos sampling, skim coating, knockdown and ceiling paint.
Northern Palm Beach County has its own mix of housing. Waterfront homes, golf communities, newer planned neighborhoods and rural acreage all sit within a short drive. We quote each one based on what is actually overhead.
Jupiter grew in waves. Older homes near the river and the Inlet date back several decades. Many of the gated golf and boating communities took shape in the 1970s and 80s, when sprayed acoustic ceilings were common.
Later neighborhoods, such as Abacoa, are newer and less likely to have popcorn texture. Still, older resale homes and condos across town often do. Some owners also inherit ceilings that were patched or painted over by earlier owners.
Coastal humidity plays a part as well. Moisture and salt air can stain or loosen acoustic texture over time. A skim-coated, painted ceiling is easier to wipe down and keep looking fresh.
If your home predates the mid-1980s, the texture may contain asbestos. Only a lab test can confirm it. We take a sample with every quote; the $250 test is credited toward the job if you hire us. Learn more about asbestos testing for popcorn ceilings.
We serve neighborhoods such as:
We also travel to Tequesta, Juno Beach and the rest of northern Palm Beach County.

Larger Jupiter homes often have taller great rooms. Ceilings of 10–12 ft add about 15%. Vaulted ceilings add about 30%. Painted-over popcorn adds about 25%.
A 12×12 bedroom finished with skim and paint is about $550–$800. A 1,500 sq ft home is typically about $5,625–$8,250. Our cost guide for popcorn ceiling removal explains how we measure.
First, we visit, measure and take an asbestos sample. You get a free written quote, and we reply to every request within one business day. Lab results usually arrive in 3–5 business days, and rush service is available.
On work day one, we protect the space. Floors are covered, walls are taped, plastic containment goes up and HVAC vents are sealed. Then we mist the texture and scrape it with dust control.
Next comes repair, skim coat and sanding. We finish with primer and ceiling paint, a HEPA vacuum cleanup and a walkthrough together. One bedroom takes about 1–2 days. A 1,500 sq ft home usually takes 3–5 working days.
Admirals Cove, Jonathan's Landing and many riverfront buildings have management offices. They often want a certificate of insurance and set limits on hours and parking. We are licensed and insured and can provide that certificate.
Rules vary, so we confirm with your association and the town before starting. Some buildings also limit noisy work to set hours or weekdays. We plan the schedule around those limits from the start.
If you live in a condo, our condo popcorn ceiling removal page explains how we contain dust in shared buildings.
Many newer Abacoa homes were built with flat or lightly textured ceilings instead of popcorn. Some resale homes may still have acoustic texture in certain rooms, or a texture you want changed. We can switch any ceiling to a smooth finish or a knockdown texture. A short visit tells us what you have and what it will take.
Coastal humidity can be hard on any ceiling, especially near the Inlet and the river. A primed and painted skim coat resists moisture better than bare acoustic texture. Good ventilation in bathrooms and kitchens helps too. We use primer and paint suited to the space, so the surface is sealed and easy to clean.
Yes. Most clients stay home throughout the project. The only limit is that you cannot use the rooms we are working in that day. We seal those rooms with plastic and close off HVAC vents, so the rest of the house stays usable. Call (561) 000-0000 or request a free quote to plan your schedule.
